Open since January of 2008, you have many choices for having fun at Mountain Run Bowling Center - we truly do have something fun for everyone! Our eighteen lanes provide open, league, and tournament bowling; and our large redemption arcade provides hours of fun for all ages as well! Patrons can also enjoy the tasty food offered in our spacious snack bar, whether bowling or not -- and we provide lots of space to sit down and enjoy dining! Grab some pool cues from the front desk and shoot a game or two of pool in our separate billiards room which houses three tables for rent by the hour.
Mountain Run Bowling Center also houses three separate private party rooms where birthday parties, meetings, and other special events can be held. We also have a full-service pro shop where we sell and drill bowling balls, shoes, and accessories such as shoe covers, rosin, Easy Slide, gloves, et cetera. We have an awesome Jayhawk set-up that provides an excellent result. Come see Shawn (Bevenour) for all your bowling equipment needs! Pro shop hours are posted on the pro shop page.
A local couple who both graduated from Fauquier High School in nearby Warrenton, VA, the owners of Mountain Run Bowling Center have been married for over 25 years. They also own a construction company; but market conditions several years ago made them look into other ventures. They and their sons had always enjoyed bowling, and it occurred to them that Culpeper needed somewhere for people to go out and have fun; therefore, they created Mountain Run Bowling Center which they still own and operate.
Their many years of construction experience afforded them the knowledge and drive to design the facility. They, along with their sons and construction crew at the time, performed all of the necessary renovations to completely gut the old Grand Home Furnishings store and make it into the the beautiful, state-of-the-art family entertainment center that is Mountain Run Bowling Center. The owners work at the center - and one of their sons does as well while he attends college. Their older son used to work at the center and visits from time to time, but after college went to work in a field that utilizes his degree.
